Next Sydney Sustainability Drinks: Wednesday 8 February 2012

Sustainability Drinks Sydney extends an open invitation to all who are "passionate about sustainability"! Enjoy an evening of networking and a chance to find out about some of the exciting activities going on around Sydney in sustainability whilst winding down with a drink.

December & January

Sydney Sustainability Drinks puts its feet up for the festive season and heads to the beach for December and January, but will recommence on the 8th of February 2012.

Our November guest speaker was David Solsky.

David Solsky is a co-founder of CarbonSystems.  A passionate technology entrepreneur, he has spent the past four years working locally and internationally to build the company into a leader in the energy and carbon management sector. 

Prior to 2007 David spent a decade in the IT industry as an entrepreneur, building several successful business in the information and data management sector.  This included Databank Technologies, a start up which evolved to become the Australian market leader in disaster recovery and information management services, and was subsequently sold to a listed multinational company.  David also spent seven years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Corporate Finance and Assurance Divisions and has applied this experience to Carbon Systems' technology platform, ensuring it meets the rigorous information-integrity standards of the corporate sector.  David plays a driving role in the ongoing design and evolution of the Carbon Systems technology platform and the development of the company's global partner channel.

In 2011, ABC Carbon named him beside David Suzuki, Nicholas Stern and Tim Flannery as one of the 100 Global Sustain-Ability Leaders that have made a significant contribution to sustainability. 

This event provides an opportunity to meet other people interested in creating a more sustainable world, exchange ideas and hear different perspectives about the social and environmental challenges we face.
